Listen and Observe
Nancy will come and visit you in your home, and listen to you about how you live. She knows just the right questions to ask to get the information she needs to create your design. She will look at the furnishings, art and accessories that you want to keep, and begin to formulate your solution.
Create a Design
Nancy will discuss her design ideas with you, and show you samples—paint, fabrics and wallpaper; window treatments; carpet, vinyl, tile and wood flooring choices; hardware and plumbing fixtures; and new layout suggestions for your update or remodel project.
Plan for the Work
Nancy can suggest trusted contractors and crafts professionals to do the work, or work with people you trust. She knows just how to schedule each part of the job to minimize the time needed and eliminate headaches for you.
Supervision for Quality
Nancy knows how to talk to construction professionals so you get the highest quality work and stay within your budget. She can spot potential problems and solve them before you even know they exist!

Nancy works with the finest furniture and accessories showrooms in the Portland, Oregon Metro area and beyond. She has access to a selection of superb items that you’d never get to see even if you spent weeks shopping around. She knows how to find just the right items to complete your rooms, and can take you along to these treasure-trove showrooms if you want to browse.

What Will It Cost?
Nancy has several ways of charging depending on the scope of the project. She has an hourly fee for consultation and putting together the overall scheme. She purchases furniture and accessories for your project at, “retail minus a discount.” If she supervises the entire project, she will quote a set fee for her services.
Nancy’s consultant fee is $120/hr. This covers design, drawings, gathering material samples, working with contractors—all her services. Typically all these activities take 2-5 hours depending on your project.
Then she will help you shop for furniture and accessories, original art and antiques, and custom and oriental rugs. Her professional commission on these items covers the time she spends, and you get the best items at the best prices without wasting your valuable time.
Nancy has recently added the capability of taking your payments by credit card to make it easier for you to fit her services into your budget!
